When RENT opened in 1996, the internet was in its infancy. But, by the time RENT LIVE came about in 2019 hundreds of RENT fans were writing and posting how the show had changed – even SAVED – their lives! I thought those stories should be a play of their own.

So, I wrote a play for benefits only to help fund RENT-friendly organizations like, THE MARFAN FOUNDATION to name one.
Turning it into a podcast seemed like a natural evolution and a way to get EVERYONE a chance to tell their #RENTStory.
The play version of #RENTStories is a “living” play where stories can be swapped in and out to suit the production and the organization that presents it. It features music from the show as well.
